Blanche Cecelia Guise

Blanche Cecelia Guise, resident of Fort Washington for 72 years, beloved wife of the late Francis S. Guise, Jr. passed away December 7, 2022. Born in Philadelphia on May 8, 1928, she was the daughter of Thomas and Edith Kammer, late brothers Thomas and Walter and sister, June. Loving mother of Francis William, Cecelia Blanche, Nancy June, and Thomas Steven. Grandmother of 11, Great Grandmother of 28 and Great Great Grandmother of 2.

Blanche attended Olney High School in Philadelphia. She was a long-time member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ joining in 1950. She was also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Jarrettown Ward for a period of time. She worked for the food services department in Upper Dublin School District and became Director of Food Services at Hatboro-Horsham School District where she retired. She served as President of the Pennsylvania School Food Service Association.

Blanche will be remembered for her great love of family, her wonderful cooking skills and her warm heart.

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 440 S Bethlehem Pike, Fort Washington, PA 19034 on December 20th, 2022. The viewing will begin at 10 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ALSAC - St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimers and Aging Research Center.
