Gerald (Jerry) Leinbach, 84, of Ambler, PA and Scottsdale, AZ passed away on December 31, 2021. He was born on September 19, 1937 in Reading, PA. to Rose and Russel Leinbach. He graduated from Abington High School followed by a career in banking and finance as well as a retirement job for the Montgomery County Association for the Blind where he drove clients and coached blind golfers. He married Doris Raisen on June 24th, 1979 and shared a happy marriage for 42 years filled with much travel and golfing. He was an avid reader of mysteries, loved sports, and enjoyed biking.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; son, David Leinbach; step-daughter, Janis Chaffee, and her husband Jarrett; step-grandchildren, Jillian and Gavin; stepson, Alex Adolf; Grandson, Eric Leinbach, and partner Dominique; children Michael, Gianna, and Natalie; and granddaughter Holly; great granddaughter Krista; sisters-in-law; Marta Leinbach and Sue Leinbach. He is preceded in death by his parents Rose and Russel Leinbach; brothers, Eddie and Larry Leinbach; and beloved grandson, Timothy.
Funeral Services will be held at Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home located at 145 Tennis Ave, Ambler, PA 19002 on Saturday January 8th, at 11:30 a.m. Family and friends may gather beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park with lunch afterwards at the home of Doris Leinbach.
Memorials may be given to Crossroads Hospice or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
