Kathleen “Kathy” Ann Wandall, 76, a life-long resident of Ambler, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on February 5, 2023, at Jefferson Abington Hospital.
Kathy was born May 22, 1946 in Norristown, PA to the late George and Helen (née Carfrey) Macort. She attended Wissahickon High School and went on to become a purchasing agent with Streamlight in Eagleville, PA.
She was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ambler, and in her earlier years served on the Ladies Auxiliary of the Wissahickon Fire Company. She loved horses of all kinds, especially the Budweiser Clydesdales, and Triple Crown horse racing. Her ultimate joy came from spending time and going on adventures with her son and grandson, as well as family and friends.
Kathy is survived by her loving son, Gary “Rusty” M. Wandall II; grandson, Corey Wandall; two brothers, George (the late Nancy) Macort and Barry (Colette) Macort; her two special friends, Helene Cheatham and Rose Rivera-Hrosik; mother-in-law, Millie Wandall; sister-in-law, Janice Tomlinson; brother-in-law, Walt (Hilary) Wandall; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary Marlin Wandall.
Kathy’s funeral service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Ambler, 4 S Ridge Ave, Ambler, PA 19002 with the Rev. Ryan Balsan officiating. A viewing will be held in the church beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathy’s name may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Ambler at the above address.
