Robert G. Pendleton, age 83, of Lower Gwynedd passed away peacefully on May 15, 2022.
Born on April 24th, 1939 in Kansas City, Missouri he was the son of the late Robert L. Pendleton and Nellie Frances (née Grubb) Pendleton.
Bob graduated from Southeast High School in Kansas City in 1957 and went on to graduate from the University of Missouri in 1961. He obtained his PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 1966.
Bob spent his career at pharmaceutical companies in the Philadelphia areas including Smith Kline and Merck. He also shared his knowledge of the sciences as an educator of students at the Community College of Philadelphia, Thomas Jefferson University, and Temple University.
Bob proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army Reserves. He retired from the Reserves in 1999 as a Colonel.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Loretta, his son David Pendleton, his daughter Hannah Fitch (John), his son Stephen Pendleton (Lisa), his grandson Ethan Pendleton, two nieces, one nephew, and grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Pendleton.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday May 25th from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home located at 145 Tennis Ave, Ambler, PA 19002. A funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow with fully military honors rendered by the United States Army at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
