Virginia M. Leith
Obituary
Virginia Leith, 79, of Ambler passed away in her home on January 4, 2023.
Virginia was born in Melrose Park, Illinois to William B. Leith and Caroline Leith (Rives).
She had a Masters in Speech Pathology and later went on to be Directory of Fundraising at Easters Seals Society. After her retirement she served on the Board of Directors of the Elmwood Park Zoo and was active as a grant writer for the zoo. Virginia was a lover and supporter of wildlife and animals all her life. Virginia was exceptionally talented at knitting and her legacy will be the numerous handmade sweaters, blankets and baby booties that were gifted to so many. Christmas will not be the same without her unique gifts.
Virginia is survived by her niece Christine Shea and her husband Thomas as well as their children, Jack, Madison and Christopher. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Donal B. Leith and sister in law Joan M. Leith.
